I've tried this workout twice, which I ordered along with Leah Sarago's Ballet Body series of workouts. I have about 30 dvd workouts that I use, ranging from kickboxing to power yoga and crossfit. I really hesitated about the rating of this workout. I like it, or at least most of it. But the way she uses the weighted ball in Pilates is new for me, and I need more information about proper form, not just to get the most out of the workout, but to avoid injury. I found myself at points replaying the DVD several times to really watch the instructor because she gives no specific instruction. It's important, especially when using weights, to have the arms positioned correctly to avoid injury to the shoulders. When I go to a studio, the instructor gives physical correction. When I work out with a DVD, I need to be told, specifically, how I should position my body and how to maintain correct position/posture/form throughout the exercise. So I like the concept, and I like the range of exercises, but I won't use this DVD again because, even with rewinding, I can't tell exactly what I should be doing. The small twinge I felt in my shoulder is all the warning I need. And Leah Sarago's workout? A keeper--challenging and great instruction!
