An excellent book however it's missing one extremely importand and powerful element when it comes to creative thinking; Hibernation. Often called the Archimedes Eureka! Principle! I would highly recommend little book titled 'A Technique for Producing Ideas' by William Bernbach. The book can be read in ten minutes and immediately employed. Here's a Cliff notes version of the principle: You're totally immersed in the problem, constantly thinking about it, maybe for days. Then, you stop thinking about it altogether. Put it completely out of your mind. Other things fill your mind, family, the kids, maybe a eound of golf. You stop to get gas, you're at the pump filling the tank, watching the cars go by...and then, out of the blue, EUREKA,! There it is, the answer, of course, it's obvious now. All I can say is IT WORKS, just like magic. Try it my friend, perhaps you already have and reading this has jogged your memory. Mr. Slone's book should be a tool in the arsenal of every person who gets paid to think. It's the essence of fifty books on creativity. Read it, then read it again. Maybe slower this time to absorb it.
