Sometimes Amazon Basics things are "eh, you got what you paid for." This is not one of those things. This rope is a boss. I do not know why you would need to pay any more for a rope than this. Solid construction. Ends are heavy duty. You could probably use this rope on a tug boat and pull stuff.
